July 4th-canada day weekend. Start the evening

off with Caesar Salad & A Burger for $5.00  All you can eat Corn Free. 

And then Dance the night away with Rockin' Robin Hawkins.  Admission

1st Annual Kairos CHARITY Golf Tournament!

 

 

This event will be held Saturday July 18th 2009 at the Class “A” designed

Black Diamond Golf Club.

 

 

Registration 10:00am –11:00am, a light lunch will be provided at this time.

 

The cost for this event is $150.00 per player ($50.00 Tax Receipt.)

NOTE: THIS IS A FULL SERVICE GOLF CLUB/TOURNAMENT!

This price includes entry into all events, 18 holes of golf, riding cart, light lunch, 3 course dinner, along with various contests and prizes!

The awards presentation and dinner will begin after golf in the Clubhouse! 

 

 

There will also be a Fabulous Silent Auction!

Chrome in the Canal

 

is a free event featuring classic cars, and motorcycles, on the banks of the Trent Canal in Campbellford. It is being held on Saturday July 4th from 9-4.  There will be vendors, food, dash plaques to the first 100 registered, T shirt sales, commemorative pins, and door prizes for participants.

WANTED: Kids aged 4-6, 7-10, and 11-4 who are reflective detectives loooking to talk about books and participate in games, crafts, and mystery at the library, at home, or online from July 6th, 2009 - August 27th, 2009.

"Agent 009" is a free program that helps kids maintain and improve reading skills while solving mysteries around the library, including a visit from our cold-blooded friends at the Indian River Reptile Zoo.
ALSO LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS AGED 11+ TO HELP IN PROGRAMS WITH YOUNG KIDS.

Coboconk Canada Day Parade

 

Wed July 1, 10am from Medical Centre on Grandy Rd , - kids with decorated bikes, led by flags and a bagpiper.  Cenotaph service at the Legion, giant Canada flag cake, free hotdogs & cake for lunch.  Old-fashioned games and races.  Prizes for best decorated bikes and trikes.  Any children in the area, visitors and residents of Coboconk, Kirkfield, Norland - are welcome to attend.  For information contact Jan at 454-1547

 

 

Campbellford Curling & Racquet Club

 

is hosting a Golf Tournament, Friday July 17. Tee off at 11:30am at Pine Ridge Golf & Country Club, Warkworth. $60/person includes cart, 18 holes and steak dinner. Funds raised will support curling and fitness programs & services for the community.

The Peterborough Canada Day Parade

 

starts at noon on Wednesday, July 1st from City Hall and proceeds down George Street to Morrow Park.Pre-parade festivities begin at City Hall at 10:30am.

The theme for this year's parade is "Honouring our Servicemen, Servicewomen and Peacekeepers, Past and Present".

Motorists are reminded that rolling road closures will begin at 10:30am.

 

The Harvey community policing committee

 

are sponsoring a cruise night beginning June 25th 6:00pm to dusk, and every Thursday thru to Sept. 24th. We will be having a  barbecue, draw prizes and 50\50 draw.  This is being held on the parking lot of the Buckhorn Community Centre and will be a weekly event.

Kids and Cops Go Fishing at Anchorage Resort

 

The derby will take place on July 4th, 2009, from 9 am to 3:30 pm for children 2 to 18 years of age. Registration starts at 7:30 am; a non-perishable food item is required from each participant to be donated to the food bank in Bancroft. The young anglers can look forward to lots of fun including a barbeque lunch, giveaways, ice cream, prizes and so much more. Fowlers Corners & District Lions Club

 

are holding their Annual Canada Day weekend Fireworks Sales Fundraiser, beginning on Friday June 26th through Wednesday July 1st. Open daily from 10am to 8pm except Wednesday we will close by 3pm. We invite everyone to visit one of two locations, at either Pinto's Corners beside Pinto's Grocery & Ultramar gas & Country Style or at the Fowlers Corners Coffeetime parking lot.
