Mental Illness Awareness Week, Oct 4-10th,

 

Campbellford & District Community Mental Health Centre presents “Crazy for Life” – a true story in One Act, that was written by and is performed by Victoria Maxwell.

 

Crazy for Life both entertains and educates, and is a brave, funny and compelling look at experiencing, surviving, and coming to terms with bipolar disorder and psychosis.

 

This event will be held on October 6th, at the Warkworth Town Hall Centre for Performing Arts at 7pm.  Tickets are $10 each. Call the Community Wellness Centre in Campbellford at 632-2015 for further information.

Edgar Cayce Canada (Peterborough) hosts author and nutritionist Simone Gabbay RNCP as guest speaker for an informative presentation on treating and healing Arthritis holistically. Ms Gabbay is author of such books as Nourishing the Body Temple and Edgar Cayce's Diet Plan for Optimal Health and Weight Loss. Hre presentation is based on treatment recommended by the late Edgar Cayce, considered the ' father' of the holistic health movement in North America. Admission is by donation (minimum $5 suggested)

World Breastfeeding Week, Oct 1-7, 2009. 

 

The Peterborough Breastfeeding Coalition is co-sponsoring a "Latch-on" and11:00am Saturday, Oct 3, 2009 at the Galaxy Cinema with the Galaxy offering a free movie afterwards. Breastfeeding Families can arrive at
the Galaxy at 10:30 for sign-in.

 

 

Applefest Sunday, October 4 ~ 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
