The annual trip over to East City to get a Christmas tree from the Mark Street Church Athletic Association happened this past Sunday.  (November 29th - - I can't remember getting a Christmas tree this early...ever).

Naturally, Lisa was with me.  She hasn't trusted me to select a tree after the year I came home with one that didn't quite measure up.  Am I the only person in the world that's ever had to "return" a Christmas tree?

Lisa's motto is "go big or go home".  If the angel's head isn't almost touching the ceiling (9 feet above the floor), it's just not right. 

Anyway, this year's Behemoth Balsam Fir is sitting outside the house for now, waiting to be set up inside on December 1st (as per family tradition).  But, I fear that although this year's selection is wrapped up tightly, it somehow seems taller and heavier than anything else we've ever brought home.  Something tells me I'm in for a "Griswold" Christmas tree experience this year.  Should be interesting - - I'll post photos of the ordeal.
