Everyone Loves A Parade
Tuesday, December 08, 2009
A tip of the ol' Santa Hat today to Don Annett (the chairman of this year's Peterborough Santa Claus parade) along with the other Kinsmen club members and countless volunteers who made Saturday's event one of the best ever.
The floats were awesome...there were more bands than ever before...and Mother Nature co-operated. The result was one of the highest attended parades in the city's history - - an estimated 14,000 lined up along George Street to see it.
We had a "pre-parade party" at our house...a little gathering of friends sharing some food and beverage, before walking over to the Memorial Centre to watch.
As you can see in the picture...most of us were having fun. Some of us look a little cold. And, judging from the grin on Peter Osbourne's face (back right), Lisa's "7-Bean Casserole" was just beginning to take effect.
Say no more.
