All I can say is..."I hope it's better than KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park".
Here's the press release:
KISS drummer Peter Criss will be making an acting appearance in the upcoming film Frame Of Mind, set to be released on DVD February 24, 2009. The film is a detective drama and centers around a new twist in the President John F. Kennedy assassination conspiracy theories.
When Detective David Secca discovers a piece of film showing a man concealing a rifle on the grassy knoll in Dallas, it becomes clear this is an important clue in uncovering the truth behind history.
Criss plays the character Mike, a New Jersey Detective.
Good for Peter. But, let's go back to his acting debut. In 1978, KISS was on top of the music industry and the mass marketing was out of control. Although there's some good concert footage in it, "KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park" could possibly be the cheesiest movie ever made. That being said, I'm drawn to it (like a moth to a flame) everytime it's on tv!
This evil scientist who works at an amusement park makes robots for the park. When his evil doctor license is revoked, he takes revenge on the park. KISS happens to be playing at the park. They also have super-powers and talk with reverberated voices. Anyway...to cut to the chase...Gene, Paul Peter and Ace befriend a bland couple, fight evil robot versions of themselves, stop a riot, and rock out. Gotta love the action scenes (especially the ones where a black actor with an afro is doing the stunts for Ace!)
Scene to watch for - - KISS by the pool in long mystical robes.
Best lines - - "What do you compute, Space Ace?" / "Insufficient data at the moment, Starchild!"
Rock & Roll all night...and party everyday!!
