Today, after a 3 month grace period, police will be issuing tickets to people who use hand held devices behind the wheel.  Finally... even after legislation was passed to fine people who choose to use their phone, Mp3 players and even DVD units while driving, I saw lots of folks not abiding the law. 3,300 warnings were handed down during the grace period. I'm just waiting for the first person to actually get the $155 ticket! If you decide to appeal, the judge can knock it down to $60 or jack it up to $500... Why a judge would lower the fee, I don't understand.  Hang up the phone and focus on the road, that next "Whats Up Dude" text could cost you!
