You know the frustration of waiting on your internet  to complete a task.  We've all kicked our computer at one time or another.  No matter how slow your machine is, I can guarantee it's faster than a pigeon flying 50 miles...

Unless, of course, you're reading this from South Africa where your internet IS slower than a flying rat with wings!!

True,  a South African IT company proved it was faster for them to transmit data with a carrier pigeon than to send it using "Telkom", the country's leading internet service provider!!

They sent the pigeon, Winston, with a data card strapped to his leg 80 KM to the coastal city of Durban. 

Including downloading, the transfer took 2 hours, 6 minutes and 57 seconds-- the time it took for only 4% of the data to be transferred using a Telkom line....

Next time you want to complain about slow internet, just be thankful you don't have Telkom as a service provider!!
