I'm Now Living In Hi-Def

I had a pretty enjoyable weekend all in all.  On Friday, TJ and I spent some time at Mark Payne's.  He was the winner of the Wolf's Ultimate Rock Band party.  I still love Rock Band.  Every time I play I say, "I've gotta get one of these!"  That said, I'm probably one of the few people who would actually rather sing than play one of the pseudo instruments.  Failing miserably on Easy bass is far more horrifying to me than messing up the vocals.  Still, it was a great time and has me wishing that Santa would put a big box 'o Rock Band under the tree.  Especially now that we've got the cool new TV to match it.  Yes, Sunday, I entered the world of 1080p and Blu-Ray.  My husband and I are celebrating Christmas early with a Samsung Series 6 46" beauty.  Of course it was a bit of an impulse buy - the Grey Cup was starting in a couple of hours - but I have been begging my hubby to cave in and get one of these babies for ages!  Yes boys, I, the wife was begging for the fancy TV (I'm sounding pretty hot to you right now guys aren't I!?!?).  We have also upgraded to Blu-Ray (can't wait to watch naked Hugh Jackman in Blu-Ray Wolverine. 1080p is good for more than just sports!).

Unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy the best part of possibly the best-Grey-Cup-Game ever.  Yes, I fell asleep.  That, of course is the good thing about movies.  I can always go back and watch naked Wolverine again.  And again.  And again.  And, well, you get it.

Some other interesting happenings on my weekend...

My daughter proved just how much a part of our regular lives Swine Flu has become.  She was playing in the car while we were driving around Sunday and was pretending she had a lap top in front of her.  She asked me to call her.  She answered her pretend phone and said, "H1N1 Flu.  When can I book your flu shot appointment for?"  She was playing flu shot clinic!

Last and definitely least, I went out on a limb with my NFL Pigskin Picks last week and fell out of the tree with a 1-5 week.  The only team that got me a win was Indy.  My record is now 28-34. Ouch!  My excuse is that my record always seems to stink the weeks I don't get to actually watch the games.  I was out buying my new TV while most of the games were on.  So it's not actually my fault.  Blame it on Samsung.
