Movie Suggestion - Fantastic Mr. Fox

I had a quiet night last night that consisted of a giant bowl of popcorn and great movie.  I was a little skeptical at first at Ryan's choice, Fantastic Mr. Fox.  I had heard of it in passing.  It was nominated for an Oscar, features George Clooney and Meryl Streep's voices but I guess because it is stop-motion animated I had just assumed it was a kid's movie.  It is not!  It's family friendly don't get me wrong but I don't think most kids would appreciate its extremely dry humour.  It's a Wes Anderson film which should explain it all if you happen to know who Wes Anderson is.  If you're like me well then you just learned last night who Wes Anderson is and that you are in fact a Wes Anderson fan.

Rushmore, The Royal Tannenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Darjeeling Limited are all Wes Anderson films.  I happened to really like all of these movies without realizing they are of a certain genre which is weird because I'm usually a little keener when it comes to that sort of thing.  Oh well.  If you enjoyed any of the above films give Fantastic Mr. Fox a try.  Make sure you give it a chance.  Like most Wes Anderson films it take a few scenes to get used the bizarre little world you'll be inhabiting for the next 87 minutes.
