Saturday Night I took the All Request Saturday Night on the Road for the next stop on the Action Van & Truck World Show Us Your Man Cave Contest.

This time The WOLF 101.5 went to the Redneck Saloon, and let me tell you these Rednecks know how to party!!!

The building started out as a school portable building that Don was using for a wood shop, and Don (who might just be the smartest man alive), turned it into a full bar, with a dance floor, laser lights, fog machine, giant TV, pool table, an awesome Sound system, and …. A stripper pole! All right in his back yard.

Don and his lovely wife Cheryl invited 85 people to come party; they all had on the official Redneck Saloon T-shirts.
I have to say Don and Cheryl had the coolest group of friends and family I’ve ever partied with. They all brought coolers full of food, everybody had story about everyone and it was just a great sense of community and friendship.

The spread of food was something to be seen, there was 6 kinds of dip, chili, deli & cheese platters, Meat balls, pulled pork, and other stuff I couldn’t identify but I’ll tell you… “It was delicious!”
The night was full throttle from the word GO! To start off I had the wrong address, I stopped in at a driveway outside of Nestleton and I knew it was the wrong place, while checking my email a nice ol’boy named Bennie came out, I asked him if he knew where the RedNeck Saloon was? Ol’Bennie said “Ohhh Yeah it’s just down the road, over the hill, and it’s the place right before corner, CAN’T MISS IT, tell’em Bennie says Hey!”
Once I arrived at the right place, Don, his son Casey, and his neighbor were already and waiting, they attacked the van and carried my gear up the hill and before I knew it, there was 10,then 20, then 45 then too many people to count all heading up the drive way, ready to party!

There were so many names it made my head spin, Brent, Skip, Smilie, 4 Dianne’s, Charlie, Kelly, Sid, Casey, Rick, Johnny Long Hair, Erin, and who could forget Patty.
Everybody was very cool; they all had the same question for me “So this is your Job?”
You could tell there was a lot of love for Don in the room, and even more respect Cheryl (the Bouncer); this wasn’t a party that was out of the ordinary, Don built this room for people to enjoy, and Booooy do they! At one point he told me “We have a party back here at least once a month.”

It was a night I’m never going to forget, Cheryl, Don, their son Casey and I talked to the early hours of the morning. I heard the best stories, from people who really know how to enjoy life, and share the good times with the ones they love.

You can bet it won’t be long before I make it back to the Redneck Saloon

And after that night I think it’s time I break the News to Mrs. Kearnsy “I’m buying a Harley!”
