The Anthrax guitarist has been growing a very nice Goatee since the 80’s and says there’s never been a time when he did not have some sort of foliage on his chin (that shows commitment)

The Kings of Leon front man has a what I would call an ugly beard, but who am I to judge

The My Morning Jacket Front man should have been higher on the list in my eyes. He’s got excellent coverage and good overall length not too long, not too short, nice and even all around.  

#6 Dan Auerbach

This is what I call the lazy man’s beard not structure, no grooming at all, The Black Keys rocker has no business on this list.

#5 Jim Morrison

More of what I would call a “lack of effort beard”, do to being too damn high on whatever to even think about holding a razor near his neck, I feel Jim can stay at number 5 once again being so cool without trying.

#4 Dave Grohl

This is where this list looses all credibility for me, I’m sorry I know everybody loves Dave Grohl and he can do no wrong but!!! His beard is patchy at best its length is all over the place there no grooming to it, and he is once again being recognized for record sales and not for his talent.

Now this is a beard! It has everything I would consider in an epic beard, long length, but even over all, excellent coverage from ear to ear, and what I would have hoped to pushed him to #1… To have a great beard is to be known for your great beard, has anyone ever seen Garcia without a beard NO!!! and if you say you have your full of it!

I was never a fan of the former Beatles Beard, I felt it could have been epic had it had more effort put in to it, If I was talking Beatle Beards I would have gone with Ringo.
