Today marks the 10th Anniversary of the death of John Entwistle bass player - The Who
Entwistle was found in a Las Vegas hotel room June 27th, 2002 one day before the scheduled first show of The Who's 2002 US tour. It was determined his death was due to a heart attack induced by cocaine
Little known fact - his first instrument was...the trumpet. After trading in his trumpet for a bass guitar, John joined Roger Daltrey’s band, the lineup of which would later include guitarist Pete Townsend and drummer Keith Moon.
