This morning Dani and I were talking on air about things that scared you as a kid. For Dani it was the movie E.T. You can read about her experience here . For me it was Lou Ferrigno as The Incredible Hulk (I'll get to that in a bit)
Listeners called in talking about their fears as a kid - aliens, spiders, movies like Ghostbusters, The Birds (Alfred Hitchcock), Field of Dreams (??) and Nightmare on Elm Street.
On my Facebook page Lori wrote - "mine was ROMPER ROOM...when that lady looked through her mirror and said I SEE JIMMY I SEE WILMA...I SEE LORI...man I ran out of the room cuz I thought she was watching me"
For me as a kid in 1977, something that scared me was the TV show The Incredible Hulk. When Lou Ferrigno as The Hulk come bustin' out in his green glory it freaked me out. If you ever watched that TV show, you know it happened consistantly twice during each 1 hour episode - "don't make me angry, you won't like me when I'm angry"
