Automatically Log Out of Facebook

It may have happened to you or to a friend, but the odds are good that you've seen the results of someone leaving their Facebook account unattended. Maybe embarrassing comments were posted, maybe pictures were altered. Logging out of Facebook is the best way to avoid this but not many of us do...in fact I'd say none of us log out of Facebook unless you're on a shared computer.

To solve this problem, Firefox has released an add-on called Facebook Auto-Logout. Here's how it works:

- Make sure you're using Firefox as your web browser and then install the add on.  Click here to get it

- Once installed, the add-on is enabled by default. From now on, when you close the Facebook window, the add-on will log you out.

- It will also log you out after 60 seconds of inactivity, which might not be enough for you. To increase the auto-logout time, just click Firefox in the top left, then Add-ons, then Options next to Facebook Auto-Logout. Change the number in the box near the bottom

If you're been caught with someone posting something on your Facebook while you stepped away from your computer, hopefully this helps
