A disturbing end to a cab ride

A Montreal cab driver has been charged for running over a 23-year-old man early Sunday morning
The cab driver faces charges of hit and run, aggravated assault and armed assault.
The victim suffered severe injuries after amateur video showed a taxi running him over as a cabbie tried to flee the scene of an altercation.
At about 3:45 a.m., a conflict erupted between the driver and a group of individuals who had just gotten out of the cab.
The group gathered around the cab, with some people hitting the car and one man getting on the roof and jumping up and down.
The driver then tried to drive away from the group, but ran over one man.
Video filmed by a witness shows the cab driving away from the scene as the group gathers around the man on the ground.
The young man who was injured could also face charges.
