Straight from the Horse’s mouth, Keith Richard, the Stone’s guitarist, has said that the band is heading into the studio “very shortly” to begin recording new music. On his YouTube channel Richards was asked if he was inspired to write new music with the band and he said that it “wouldn’t take a whole lot of arm twisting”.

It will be the first time in 12 years that the Rolling Stones would be recording and releasing new music. Last year the band did release an album of covers titled “Blue and Lonesome” however their last release containing original tracks was “A Bigger Bang” in 2005.
