Ok…enough is enough. Airlines are becoming super sensitive and not using common sense.
In this case a family decided to buy a ticket on an earlier flight for their 18-year-old so they could use his seat on the later flight for their younger son’s car seat.
To me that makes sense…the Mom doesn’t want to have to hold their child the whole flight. Strap the car seat in the seat and after take-off put the child in the seat.
In fact Delta airline policy states…“For children under the age of two, we recommend you purchase a seat on the aircraft and use an approved child safety seat,”
The Delta employee tried to say that each seat had to have a body in it…not just the car seat…which is clearly going against Delta’s policy.
Now… the Dad should’ve let Delta know about this change, and once the situation was explained, maybe the Delta employee could’ve let it go.
I think airline employees / airlines need to use common sense when dealing with these situations.
