Are you guys familiar with the word karma? I would imagine most of you are, but if you need a refresher, here’s what Professor Wikipedia has to say:
“The spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect). Good intent and good deed contribute to good karma and future happiness, while bad intent and bad deed contribute to bad karma and future suffering.”
Whenever I think of karma, I’m always transported to a memory from my first night ever out drinking in Peterborough as a 19-year-old. At the TD Canada Trust at Peterborough Square, I was getting some money from the ATM when a clearly intoxicated young woman walked in and started chatting with me. She said something about slapping me for one reason or another – I don’t really remember. Right after that, she dropped all the belongings she had in her hand (keys, wallet and a camera) on the floor, and then yelled out “That’s what I get. It’s karma! KAAAARRRRMAAAAAA!”
Perhaps this will now replace that memory whenever I think of karma. You know, with the frequency that I hear people say “So how about them Cowboys?” whenever there’s a lull in conversation, I just assume everyone is at least a little bit of a Cowboys fan.
I don’t know if this young lady’s ex-fiancee is a casual or hardcore fan, but it doesn’t really matter… Because she got him an excellent Christmas gift, and he dumped her via text message just days before Christmas. He told her they had nothing in common, but from the looks of the image below… They had more in common than he thought.
What she had gotten him was tickets to Monday night’s Cowboys game against the Detroit Lions. She decided the best thing to do was to go by herself, and publicly shame her ex-fiancee (without naming names, of course).

The Cowboys won that game 42-21, and in doing so, Dez Bryant made some history. Bryant caught two touchdowns to move him into second place all-time in franchise TDs. In addition to that, the Cowboys also ran a trick play in which Bryant threw his first ever touchdown pass! It was a hell of a night for him, and here’s the big highlights:
And buddy missed it all, because he broke up with this woman via text. I bet he’s kicking himself now, if he’s seen that his now ex-fiancee has gone viral… But he broke a couple simple rules that everyone should follow: 1) Don’t break up with someone (especially someone you previously asked to marry you) via text message, and 2) Don’t break up with someone during the holidays! But the internet agrees, that dude messed up.
@AlexMcDaniel buy her all the beers. She’s a catch

I bet he learned his lesson.
