The Football Associations of England and Scotland say they are going to rebel against a ban on players wearing poppies when the teams meet on Nov. 11th.
The players will wear black armbands with poppy emblems and say they are willing to accept any punishment that may follow.
World football’s governing body prohibits political, religious or commercial messages on shirts- but is a poppy really a symbol of any of those things? Most people see a poppy as a symbol of remembrance- to recognize the sacrifice of soldiers everywhere.
