Have you ever discovered something of yours that wasn’t designed to create music has taken on such an ability? Every now and then you come across a happy little accident, like the shovel that plays Smells Like Teen Spirit, for example.
Next time you get in your car, I want you to open the glovebox and pay attention to the sound it makes, if any. It might make a squeaking or groaning sound as it slowly descends. Or it might go all out like this gent’s car and play you a little light jazz ditty.
Of course that one little phrase isn’t quite enough to get a good feel for it. Thankfully, it’s the internet, so you know at least one person out there took it and actually remixed it into a song.
The only problem is… That’s not exactly light jazz. But, of course, the internet is a vast expanse with many, many people around… So thankfully someone else took the reigns and did actually compose a nice light jazz song around the glovebox’s sound:
And even more!
Maybe the car is just a big fan of Dave Brubeck?
Or maybe it’s into more modern contemporary music…
It actually kinda blows my mind how many remixes and redubs have been done of this video… It does kinda remind me of the video where that person remixed his or her fart…
Speaking of remixes, this isn’t super related, but I did come across (thanks to reddit, anyway) this awesome song someone made simply by sampling Donald Trump saying “China” and then just being really good at producing music. You know, basic stuff.
I’ve long been a fan of music made by things that aren’t instruments. Sticking with the light jazz theme, here’s a door that does an impersonation of Miles Davis:
And this might not be music, but it’ll be music to the ears of Star Wars fans…
Who knew a chair could be a great musical instrument for a waltz?
Now all these inanimate objects just need a drummer. I know a washing machine that’s looking for a gig…
