Most of us would probably love for someone to drag us out of the house, and force us to go on vacation, right? Apparently not this Toronto-area teenager.
Northumberland OPP say they got a call from a Mississauga teenager, who complained that her parents “forced her” to go on vacation with them at a cottage in Trent Hills.
She got a stern warning from police: “This appeared to be a case of a teenager being a teenager,” Northumberland OPP Const. Steve Bates told CBC News. “Although she perceived this as a real issue, it was not an appropriate use of 911.”
Once they were called, police had to go out to the cottage to make sure everyone was safe. Officers warned the young lady that calls like hers can tie up emergency services, which could impact the safety of those who really need help.
Lesson learned: just enjoy the vacation, girl!
