Babies are freeloaders. I don’t have one, but I was one once so I know what’s up. I mean, hell, even as an adult I like to try and get by doing as little as possible. But for people like me, the arrival of a new baby means you need to get your act together and provide a safe, clean environment for it.
Will the baby appreciate it? Probably not – at least not at the time. I’m sure most babies take a clean, safe environment for granted. Perhaps it’s because they’ve never known any different, or perhaps it’s because they’re never expected to chip in with cleaning chores.
But as the bloke behind the How To Dad account on Youtube points out, it’s really not that that difficult to get your baby to help around the house. In fact, it’s quite easy. Watch:
There’s a pretty good rule of thumb in there: “Basically, babies will do anything if you just ask them to do it.”
