It’s Ken in for Matt Diamond once again, and given that it’s a warm sunny summer day out there, I figured a tune about frosty treats is a great way to try and keep cool.
For the track, we’re heading back to 1978, and Van Halen‘s eponymous debut album.

As you’ll hear here, this song was originally included on a demo the band made. That demo didn’t get them a record deal, but when they finally got one, David Lee Roth insisted this song appear on the album as a nod to the blues. It also features Roth on guitar, which is not something he’s known for.
As the band say… Stay Frosty!
