Cheerios are pretty much a staple of any kid’s life. I say this not as a parent, but as a person who not too long ago was a Cheerio-loving kid myself. Having visited numerous friends and family members who have babies and young children, it’s hard to go around the house and not find a few stray Cheerios here and there. I’m not judging – hell, I often find pieces of food I thought I’d lost stuck in my beard. It just goes to show that kids love them to the point where they take them everywhere.
Cheerios have even played up the fact that kids love ’em multiple times in their commercials. Examples:
They even had one not too long ago that specifically highlights the role of being a dad.
So basically what it comes down to is this: If you’re the parent of a young child, you’ve got Cheerios in the house at any given time.
That makes this little competition super easy for YOU to enter. And I’d really like it if you did. The competition is: Who can stack the most Cheerios on their sleeping child?!
I won’t claim credit for the idea – I’m not nearly that smart, AND I don’t have a kid to stack Cheerios on. According to CNN, a bloke by the name of Patrick Quinn had the original inspiration.
Here are some entries that I found (let’s face it, Reddit found it for me) in Imgur:
You can always spot the folks who shop at Trader Joe’s.
So there you go, folks. Some pretty fierce competition. Now it’s your turn. Stack away, and post a photo of your record in the comments on Facebook or in a reply on Twitter!
