Have you checked out the Hydraulic Press Channel on YouTube? It’s super entertaining. I actually penned a blog featuring some of the early videos from the channel, but here’s a taste of it if you’re unfamiliar:
And a slightly more recent video that has just begun making the rounds, crushing a diamond in a hydraulic press:
Did it surprise anyone else how easily that thing just blew apart?
Speaking of blowing things apart, apparently one Swede was sick of his Nordic neighbours to the east getting all the internet glory, so he created his own YouTube channel: The Swedish Dynamite channel.
His name is Erik Johansson, although I should probably just let him do the introduction.
This looks very promising, especially if “Dynamite Erik” can keep up with regularly posting videos. The Hydraulic Press Channel started strong but then went dark for a few months before its videos started going viral and the internet demanded m0re.
So far, though, the Swedish Dynamite Channel is just getting started, and this is the first (and so far only) video that’s been posted: blowing up a computer with dynamite.
I get that English probably isn’t his first language, but at 1:17 he says “Now it’s time for the next blow job.” I couldn’t help but laugh.
Now you’re probably not going to be able to get your hands on any dynamite, but if by chance, you do – well… DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME! Johansson does all of his blowing up of things at a safe closed facility in northern Sweden.
If you’re looking for something explosive you CAN do at home, I would recommend this:
