You know, I try to be diverse (at least to a point) with the topics I cover here in my blog, but there are definitely a few common themes that pop up pretty regularly. One such theme is automotive oddities, and other unique mechanical devices. While I can’t build anything like that, I sure do respect people who can and do.
Colin Furze is a British bloke with a penchant for building INSANE machines with no real purpose other than to be ridiculous. I’ve featured him in my blog before, putting the spotlight on things like his motorized drifting Big Wheel, the High Voltage Ejector Bed, and the Jet-Propelled Go Kart.
If you find stuff like that interesting, this is definitely a guy you need to follow.
One of his most recent (just shared yesterday) AND most awesome projects is the custom-built hoverbike he just made. I don’t really know how best to describe it, so I think it’s best just to share the video and let him do the explaining. Have a look:
If you’re interested in more details on how it was built, there’s a series of videos that have gone up over the past few weeks documenting the process of designing and building the hoverbike.
If this kind of thing is right up your alley, you should definitely give Mr. Furze’s YouTube Channel a look, but be forewarned – it might keep you busy for hours.
