Last night the NHL Playoffs kicked off.
N.Y. Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist left the game after taking a stick to the face from his own defenseman. You may ask…how could a stick to the face hurt a goalie who is wearing a mask? Well, the blade of the stick was turned sideways and went inside the eye hole of his mask. The extent of the injury, and any timetable to a return, is unknown at this time. Game two between the Rangers and Penguins is scheduled for Saturday.
By the way…Pittsburgh 5 N.Y. Rangers 2
(Pittsburgh leads series 1-0)
