The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is warning Bancroft residents about possible flooding in the area.
Environment Canada is forecasting rain to come in on Wednesday evening, and precipitation to continue in one form or another through the weekend.
The MNRF suggests those with a history of flooding in the Bancroft area take precautions such as ensuring their sump pumps are working, and securing items that might float away.
Meanwhile, there is also a Flood Outlook Statement in effect for the Gull and Burnt River watersheds. Upwards of 40 millimetres of rain is expected over the next five days.
Residents are advised to stay away from fast-moving rivers and streams.
