NCAA March Madness is currently happening. For many folks around here, that might not mean a whole lot, other than the fact that college basketball is dominating the American sports networks. For some guys, it means getting a vasectomy and sitting on the couch with a bag of frozen peas between your legs.
For the players in the tournament, it means hard work. For a select few, the tournament will end in glory (and maybe a riot in the winning university’s hometown?). For the rest, it will end in disappointment.
That was the case a couple days ago for the fifth-seeded Baylor Bears, who were upset by the twelfth-seeded Yale Bulldogs. Baylor were obviously the favourites, and with a team made up bigger players, even if they didn’t win the game, people expected them to at least out-rebound Yale… But that wasn’t the case, and that led to this awkward exchange between a reporter and Baylor’s Taurean Prince:
Oh, the sarcasm! I love it!
Obviously, we can tell what the reporter was trying to get at: “How the hell did you guys lose to THEM?!” It probably could have been worded just a little bit better to get a better response… Although from the standpoint of anyone EXCEPT that reporter, this WAS the perfect answer. How do you say “eff you” to someone without actually saying it? Just like this.
