Yesterday on their official website, Peterborough’s I Mother Earth dropped some interesting news. CLICK HERE
Jag Tanna (a good Peterborough guy) posted that he’s been in contact with their former lead singer Edwin who left the band in 1997.
Prior to this meeting with took place a couple of weeks ago, The plan for I Mother Earth was to use 2016 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 2nd album Scenery and Fish. (One More Astronaut and Used to be Alright)
The problem – their current lead singer Brian Byrne has a full time radio gig in Halifax and Brian has thrown his hat into the ring for a shot at becoming the next lead singer of the Stone Temple Pilots. So…he’s busy.
In and around the time Brian Byrne announced he was pursuing the idea of joining STP, an unexpected meeting between Jag Tanna and Edwin took place and it apparently went well…considering the two of them hadn’t spoke in the last 18years or so.
So…this is where it sits, it appears that Edwin could re-join I Mother Earth for some shows (and possibly more) this year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their last album together…Scenery and Fish which came out in 1996.
More details on that are expected form the band later this week.
