Ken still here for Matt,
Today’s Vinyl Version comes from a guy who was a Guitar God too many before his untimely death, far too young. After their debut, Texas Flood was a huge success (despite having only been in the recording studio for TWO DAYS to record it), Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble spent 19 days recording the follow-up. Vaughan brought in his brother, Jimmie Vaughan (who you might know from The Fabulous Thunderbirds) to play guitar along with him on a couple tracks, including this one… It’s the title track from 1984’s Couldn’t Stand The Weather.
