The new 11 track AC/DC album “Rock or Bust” comes out Dec 2nd.
Sadly this album will not feature co-founder Malcolm Young. He did not participate in the recording of the album and will not be joining the guys on tour next year.
There were reports that he was suffering from an undisclosed illness. We now know a little more about that.
According to a story in the Sydney Morning Herald – Malcolm has been moved into full-time care in a nursing home facility in Sydney’s eastern suburbs specializing in dementia, sources connected to the Young family have said. The Young family connection said: “If you were in the room with [Malcolm Young] and walked out, then came back in one minute later, he wouldn’t remember who you are. He has a complete loss of short-term memory. His wife, Linda, has put him in full-time care.”
The rest of the guys in the band have decided to continue on and release an album and head out on tour next year…something I’m sure Malcolm would want them to do.
Check out a sneak peek of one of the new tunes. It’s called Play Ball and will be featured in the upcoming Major League Baseball playoff games.
