Mick Jagger better watch his back. Apparently he’s partly responsible for Brazil’s huge 7-1 loss to Germany in the semi-finals earlier this week.
How you ask?
Well, at a Stones’ show in Lisbon in May, Mick predicted that Portugal would win it all. They didn’t.
At a recent concert in Rome, Jagger predicted that four-time World Cup champs Italy would beat Uruguay. The Italians lost 1-nil, and were sent packing.
Earlier in the World Cup, Jagger took to Twitter to urge on his native England (they were playing Uruguay) — annnd England lost.
Thennnn, Mick Jagger went to the World Cup semifinal match between Brazil and Germany in Belo Horizonte. He went with his son, Lucas, who is Brazilian, so they were both cheering on the home team. That match ended up in Germany’s favour 7-1, and was reportedly the worst home loss ever in Brazilian soccer, and the most one-sided defeat in a World Cup semi!
It makes me wonder — is Mick Jagger secretly cheering for the Leafs too?
