We seem to be on the topic of covers today. If you haven’t seen Brian Ellis’s blog from this morning, check it out to see Donny &Marie Osmond performing a Steely Dan classic.
This cover, however, comes courtesy of some young kids playing at the Grosse Point Music Academy Spring Recital. Their chosen song? Weezer‘s Undone (The Sweater Song).
And you know what? They do a pretty darn good job of it… At least at first.
Upon taking the stage, Henry, Grant, Stephen, and Griffin, also known as Rubber Band to the audience of the Grosse Pointe Music Academy Spring Recital, had no idea that their performance would be a viral Internet sensation. Watch this 60-second video to see what all the buzz is about!
Ah, the joys of the classic equipment malfunction. Perhaps they can take this new found stardom and use it to put their own twist on the song’s lyrics…
If you want to destroy my keyboard
Pull the pin that holds its legs
Watch it now tumble, it’ll soon be broken
Lying on the floor, lying on the floor… it’s come undone!
