Flappy Bird for the iPhone, iPad or Android devices WAS a popular game. The objective is to fly a bird, which moves continuously to the right, between each oncoming set of pipes without colliding with them.
I say WAS a popular game for mobile devices because it’s no longer available.
Flappy Bird was created and developed by Dong Nguyen in the span of two to three days. It was originally released on May 24, 2013 for the iPhone. The Android version of Flappy Bird was released to the Google Play store on January 30, 2014
This game was a free download and became so popular it was reportedly earning as much as $50,000 a day from in game advertisements.
Apparently the guy who made the game says Flappy Bird was designed to play in a few minutes when you are relaxed. For anyone who’s played it, it’s not relaxing…it’s VERY addictive. That’s not what creator Dong Nguyen wanted, so to solve that problem, he has removed the app. It’s gone forever.
There are however some Flappy Bird alternatives (keep in mind not all of these are free. Or they’re free to download with in-app purchases available)
