If you’ve ever been on a diet or know anyone that has…there’s a lot of things to consider being diving into that plate of food at dinner. Well…the future has arrived. Just wave a device over your food to find out the ingredients, calories and more.
In a recent Huffington Post article I stumbled upon this new device that could change the way we count calories.
TellSpec, currently raising a heap of money on its Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, is a nifty gadget that connects to your smartphone and gives you calorie counts, allergy info, and details about food, just by scanning it. Scanning the actual food…not a barcode.
Wave the device over your food (be it an apple or a plate of pasta) and TellSpec’s device essentially use lasers to evaluate an object’s chemical composition to calculate not only calories but ingredients and whether or not the food contains gluten, trans fats, or pesticides.
All the data is then sent immediately to an app on your phone so you can check the details.
Here’s how it works
TellSpec is offering early backers the device and two years of unlimited food scan analysis for $150. CLICK HERE for details
