Life Hacks – or using a product in a way that was unintended by the inventor, but is a convenient alternative use – is the latest trend around the web. For example, using toothpaste to brighten up your dull car headlights or turning a toaster onto its side and using it to make grilled cheese. These ideas have prompted me to think of my own Life Hack and I had to look no further than the Baby Bjorn, an over-the-shoulder baby carrier. New moms and dads use them by putting the baby on their chest and the straps over the shoulder carry the weight.
But what if this could be used inside the home to give mom and dad a little time to themselves for some more adult activities? Here it is dads – you can thank me later. Any man with kids knows that it’s hard to get some lovin’ from mom for that first year because the precious new bundle of joy is always around being cute and staring at you as if to say, ‘don’t you dare touch my mom you hairy pervert!’.
Well never fear because Matty Buller’s Baby Bjorn Life Hack is here to get you that time you need for some ‘agressive snuggling’. It’s a simple fix: Put the Baby Bjorn on with the baby on your back, facing away from you and the baby facing out. That way the baby is looking directly behind you so the little bundle of joy can’t see you and mommy wrestling for the championship of the master bedroom. You get your quality time with your lady and the baby won’t have thousands of dollars in therapy bills. Enjoy!
