How many times has this happened. You’re out for the day, and you realize your phone is running low on battery…and…there’s no place to easily charge your phone. Well, one new invention solves this for iPhone users.
It’s the Mipwr Dynamo. It’s an iPhone case, protective case and back up battery all in one. Just like the technology used in crank radios, this is a case for your iPhone that has a lever that pops out of the side. Continuously squeeze the handle and you generate battery power.
You’ll get 30secs of talk time for every one minute of squeezing the lever. The longer you pump, the more time you’ll get.
When you finally have access to real power, you can easily recharge via micro USB.
It appears to double the thickness of your iphone with the case on, but that’s not bad to allow you access to emergency battery power.
Currently it’s being offered through a Kickstarter Project and early adopters can get one for only $25 U.S. It will be available in black or white with an expected ship date of February 2014. So far they have only raised just over $4200 towards their $78,000 goal. They have 11 days left to go in their campaign.
